Capvidia 2026 R1 software introduces new capabilities designed to remove friction from model-based workflows from engineering and suppliers to manufacturing and quality.

In this webinar, Shannon Litwin and Luka Popovic walk through the latest software improvements and demonstrate how Capvidia continues to help manufacturers Get MBD Ready.

What’s new in 2026 R1?

The release focuses on four key improvements across the MBD workflow:

Weld Support for NX
MBDConnect for NX expands support for weld information, allowing weld intent to move beyond native CAD and into downstream manufacturing workflows.

MBD Ready Check for Creo
Validate semantic PMI and standards compliance earlier—before MBD is released and downstream problems become more expensive to correct.

Improved Inspection Reporting
MBDVidia adds Pass/Fail support for Bill of Characteristics (BoC) results to make inspection results easier to review and communicate.

MBDVidia Usability Improvements
Additional enhancements simplify everyday BoC, inspection planning, reporting, and MBD workflows.

Building a stronger digital thread

Each enhancement addresses a specific handoff in the model-based workflow:

Author → Validate → Publish → Plan → Inspect → Return

The goal is to keep engineering intent intact as information moves between CAD, PLM, manufacturing, inspection, quality systems, and the supply chain—supporting greater automation, interoperability, and collaboration.
