QVidia - CAD Product Data Quality Tool for Design and Manufacturing

QVidia – a solution for 3D CAD model quality verification. It helps to maintain 3D model quality throughout the design process and guarantees smooth data exchange between different CAD systems by preventing possible pitfalls with downstream applications such as structure analysis, digital mock ups, rapid prototyping and NC machining.

With everyday increasing complexity of 3D models the use of QVidia will shorten the design cycle and cut final production costs.

QVidia is a ‘natural’ continuation of Capvidia commitment to PDQ product line. It is built up on the Capvidia’s proprietary exact geometry kernel ensuring CAD independent model quality verification.

QVidia supports quality standards defined by the SASIG group (VDA 4955, AIAG D-15, GALIA, ODETTE, JAMA) and additionally allows users to define their "own quality standards" to meet internal company requirements and manufacturing criteria.

  • Problem classifications tree – provides direct access to every particular problem detected on a 3D model
  • Advanced visualization – shows exact location of detected inconsistencies on the model entities using auxiliary visualization objects and attributes such as: temporary vertices, isolines, radii of curvature and dimensions
  • Detailed XML report – generated automatically using SASIG group definitions (classifying entities and errors in separate groups)
  • Batch mode – runs quality check automatically on a set of files
  • High performance – improved performance for complex criteria such as surface intersections and self-intersections 
  • Implemented for both Windows 32 and 64-bit platforms
